Planning and construction of steel framed shed

Planning and construction of steel framed shed

This video shows the planning and construction steps for our 9m x 8m steel framed shed / garage / workshop. The council related information is probably of more use in NZ than elsewhere, but the rest of the steps are probably pretty similar. Total construction time was around 1 day for concrete and 2.5 days for builders.

  1. Go tell them arseholes at council to go fuck themselves! It is your land and your money so fuck them, they are just wantabe politicians. If they hassel you just follow the cunts home and come back at 3am and fuckem up!

  2. Great Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched – Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (just google it)? It is a great one off guide for building better sheds and woodworking without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 at last got excellent results with it.

  3. Very useful, building myself a 4×4 metal framed workshop and some useful tips I've picked out. However, wow rules and regulations, glad I live in southern Italy as it's pretty much build what you like and where.

  4. Hi from Australia, very nice job, I especially like the roof lights and the windows and doors, good quality,we aren't given this option,my shed was a self build from a kit,got no help from the council ,who jerked me around, with the inspector.
The transition to the house is a bit of a worry.

  6. Hello, really informative video. Thank you. I'm planning on getting a garage built in Wellington to a smaller size than yours at 6×6 metres. What company did you use for the kitset? And did that company provide the builders or did you hire separate builders? Also if you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you? thanks!
