Episode 3: Shed Floor Framing – Building a Shed Floor

In the last episode we got the foundation all set up, and now it is time to start the shed floor framing. Without previous experience, I found a dozen different techniques in shed floor framing and landed on the process I used in this video. As I progressed through the shed floor framing, the value of the Bostich 33-degree nailer showed. (Link: https://amzn.to/2MNsFcd). Being able to switch out the tips and quickly transition from framing nails to joist hanger nails was a huge time saver.

I made some mistakes during the shed floor framing process, mostly because I did not do a good job squaring up my foundation. Learn from my mistakes and your shed floor framing will be a lot more successful than mine!

  1. Great video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you researched – Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method ( t.co/vyqSzs2iYO )? It is a great one off product for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend got cool success with it.

  2. Thanks for this video. I like everything im probably gonna use some piers under just for more support but great job.

  3. Wtf! Umm maybe we wanted to build your shed! But then u stop after this? Ur wife doesn't get ur dick hard and then dip to go hunting does she? That'd be rude.

  4. I've built sheds in time past but Ryan's designs are superb [ Check Details In My Channel ]. His work are second to none. I've never seen such before. The sheds are looking very nice and the building plan instructions are so detailed and very well simplified. This is cool!

  5. I can't believed you put the bands and joist on the ground with NO way for air to get under. Oh well, your building

  6. All the support of the main outside beams are only being supported by the strength of the nails. Isn't it supposed to be supported by resting on top of the vertical boards instead of nailed to the sides?
